Deer Mountain Peak offers panoramic views and is just outside of Estes Park. Unlike many of the park’s summits, it sits on the edge of the park and is not deep in the wilderness. It is also not as tall as many of the park’s alpine summits. This peak is easily underestimated, but it still stops at 10,000 feet. The trail can be accessed at the Deer Mountain Trailhead off of Trail Ridge Road.
