AllTrails lists this hike as 4.2 miles one way — 8.4 out and back. The trail description promised a constant, unproblematic gradient. Neither of those things turned out to be true. It is steep. Genuinely steep.

I turned around at mile 2 and found a new way down, logging 3.8 miles total. Record heat made pushing further the wrong call — not enough food or water to finish the full route safely. No regrets. The views from where I stopped were stunning, the kind that make you stop mid-step and just stare.

Solo hike. Would do it again in better conditions and with more snacks.
